  Parkway Regional Hospital

  2000 Holiday Lane

  Fulton, KY 42041.

     The hospital has 70 beds with a 24 hour emergency room.  There are15 full time physicians. 34 consulting physicians and 16 courtesy physicians as needed. Specialist include: Dermatology, Ear Nose Throat, Family Practice, General Surgery, Gynecology, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pediatric.  

 

     Hospital recently added new CAT scan equipment, and upgrades to Mammography equipment, cardio stress echo and ultrasound machinery. Hospital plans to add on to the ER department in the near future.

 

     The hospital is not a certified trauma center.  The closest trauma center is in Memphis Tennessee at a distance of 126 miles from Parkway Regional Hospital, 2 hours and 23 minutes travel time. Helicopter ambulance service is available through Air Evac Lifeteam.

 

     Hillview Medical Clinic is also located on the grounds of the hospital for regular doctor visits. 


     Ambulance service is available from Twin Cities Ambulance Services.  The service is equipped with 4 ambulances with 2 ambulances located in Hickman County that are available on call when needed.  There are 20 volunteer emergency medical technicians (EMT’s) available on call when needed, with 16 full time employed professional EMT’s.  There are 6 professional EMT’s per 1,000 population. Mandatory training for EMT’s is 48 hours every two years for both volunteer and professional.  Average response time is 3 to 5 minutes.


Western Baptist Hospital

    The hospital has 314 beds with a 24 hour emergency room, located approximately 1 hour's driving time from the EDP area.  There are 200 active physicians serving the hospital. Specialist include: Allergy, Anesthesiology, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics/ Gynecology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Oral Surgery, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Dentistry, Pediatrics, Physical Medicine/ Rehab, Plastic surgery, Psychiatry, Pulmonary, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Rheumatology, Urology, Vascular Surgery, Wound Care.  Hospital recently opened new imaging center.

 

     The hospital is not a certified trauma center.  The nearest Trauma center is The Med in Memphis Tennessee, the Elvis Memorial Trauma Center 877 Jefferson Avenue Memphis, TN 38103 172 miles from Western Baptist Hospital. Travel time is 3 hours 18 minutes.  Helicopter ambulance service is available through Air Evac Lifeteam.
